Here is a collection of many great Epiphone advertisements from the earliest days in 1906 through the 1960s;  From the humble beginnings of the founder, Anastasios Stathopoulo to the acquistion of Epiphone by Gibson/CMI. It includes both magazine and newspaper ads, plus several important news clippings about the history of The House of Stathopoulo and the Epiphone Company.

Below: The first known ad for Anastasios Stathopoulo's musical instrument manufacturing company appeared in this 1906 edition of the N.Y Daily Tribune, which no longer exists.


Below: The first known ad for banjos carrying the Epiphone brand name appeared in a November, 1924 issue of "The Crescendo" music magazine.


Left: The first annoucement that the Stathopoulo family officially incorporated themselves as "The House of Stathopoulo" was in 1923, although they had been doing business under that name since approx. 1917.
