The Nick Lucas Special – Few vintage guitars hold a special place in guitar history like the Gibson Nick Lucas Special. First introduced in 1928 with a smaller body, the Fox Guitar Nick Lucas Special is a replica of the 1930s version of this legendary 'artist model'. The NLS has only the best select materials including a solid Adirondack red spruce top, highly flamed maple back, sides & neck. Coco-bolo rosewood fingerboard & bridge. Custom fingerboard inlays of different shapes & sizes for each fret. Multiply white/black/white binding on top, back, sound hole & side of the fingerboard. Ivoroid bridge pins & matching end-pin with black dot. Bone nut & saddle. Special 2-ply truss rod cover. StewMac engraved 3-on-a-plate pre-war Waverly style tuners. 2 5/16" string spread at bridge provides comfortable access. Tone is loud, striking & bold. SUPER deep sides and solid maple construction gives the Nick Lucas plenty of punch without sacrificing tonal quality.

The Nick Lucas Special comes standard with Stewmac engraved tuners with grained ivoroid buttons (unless otherwise requested). Ebony peghead with inlaid MOP logo, bone nut & saddle, ivoroid bridge pins & matching end-pin with black dots, 12-53 gauge strings, special pearl FB inlay designs, black position makers. Other options are available at customer’s request (additional cost may apply). A $500 deposit is required at start and balance due prior to shipping. Lead-time is approx. 6-8 weeks depending on model.
