The Natural Fox – Herringbone Edition – The newest Fox Guitars' "Vintage Series" flat-top acoustic model was inspired by the c1932 Gibson L-2 with all natural lacquer finish. Solid Adirondack red spruce top, solid Indian rosewood back & sides, with 5-ply Maple & Peruvian Walnut neck. Special flamed maple binding throughout with herringbone purfling around the top edge and back center strip. Herringbone rosette with multiply black & white stripes. 3-ply ivoroid/black/ivoroid bound sound hole. 3-ply flamed maple/RW/maple bound solid ebony fingeroard with MOP dots. Also features the new Fox Guitars mother-of-pearl script logo and Fox’s head made of MOP & abalone. Custom matching ebony bridge trimmed in flamed maple. Ivoroid bridge pins & matching end-pin with black dot. Bone nut & saddle. Matching flamed maple truss rod cover. Tortoise-shell elevated pickguard with gold hardware. Gold Grover open-back tuners. Setup for finger-picking, with strings elevated off body and slightly elevated fingerboard, while maintaining a nice low action up & down the neck. 2 3/8” string spread at bridge provides comfortable access. Tone is big & bold. Rosewood body provides a lot of punch without the need for strumming or picking hard.

The Natural Fox comes standard with Grover gold open-gear tuners (unless otherwise requested). Ebony peghead with inlaid MOP logo, bone nut & saddle, ivoroid bridge pins & matching end-pin with black dots, 12-53 gauge strings, Pearl FB dots, side position makers. Several other options are available at customer’s request (additional cost may apply). A $500 deposit is required at start and balance due prior to shipping. Lead-time is approx. 6-8 weeks depending on model.
