Brand new, high-quality, hand-made replacement pickguard for c1955-1957 Gibson Byrdland with twin P-90 picckups. TruVintage replacement pickguards very accurately reproduce the look of an aged factory original Gibson pickguard. It is an exact copy of a 1956 Byrdland pickguard. Made from 100% real celluloid tortoise shell with a rigid semi-translucent acrylic backing, which allows more light to show through the celluloid, and for added strength and stability. It has a period-correct 5-ply aged ivoroid/black/ivoroid/black/ivoroid assemetrical binding (extra wide outside black and ivory layers) around the edges except for pickup cut-outs. Also come with reinforcing strip on the back along the straight side, just like a factory pickguard which is needed for mounting pin (not included) for attaching it to the side of the fingerboard. Hand-buffed glossy finish.
